This half moon style teapot can be used in a multitude of ways. From a simple tea bag, loose leaf tea, to beautiful flowering teas.
Three flowering green teas are included in this teapot set. If you have not experienced a flowering tea it is quite the show to behold!
It has a stainless steel tea mesh infuser that doesn’t let the loose leaves into the main area ending with a smooth cup of hot tea. The infuser can hold quite a bit of loose tea if you are looking for a stronger cup of tea as well.
This teapot is also made with borosilicate glass being able to withstand very high temperatures.
This teapot is dishwasher safe and exceptionally dependable.
This teapot is made of hand blown borosilicate glass.
According to ShopKablo.com, Borosilicate glass is a type of glass that contains boron trioxide which allows for a very low coefficient of thermal expansion. This means it will not crack under extreme temperature changes like regular glass. Its durability has made it the glass of choice for high-end restaurants, laboratories and wineries.
So, no worries about putting boiling hot water into the teapot.
Handle, Lid, & Spout
The half moon style has a black handle, black lid, and a clear spout. The black plastic parts on the teapot make it more sturdy & less likely to break. (I have broken an all glass teapot before…not fun >.<)
The round handle makes for reliable handling while you pour the tea. Since the handle is plastic it will keep your hands safe from getting burned in the process!
The lid is also plastic which will prevent a “hot top” so you may easily remove it when you are finished brewing your tea.
The strainer is a stainless steel cylindrical shape. It can hold quite a bit of loose leaf tea especially if you are desiring a stronger cup of tea.
It is easy to remove and clean when tea time is over.
The size of the teapot is 40 ounces which can pour into 5 cups.
This size is great if you want to share your tea with one other person. Each of you would get approximately 2.5 cups of tea.
The half moon teapot has a wide mouth so it makes for easy cleaning.
It is also dishwasher safe so you do not have to worry about your lovely teapot getting ruined.
The mesh strainer is a breeze to clean as you can either store your loose leaf tea for later use or simply wash out the leaves out of the strainer.
